These flame tamers were a perfect match for my grill and made an immediate difference in heat distribution and flare-up control. They feel well-built and are noticeably more solid than the original ones they replaced. The stainless steel is smooth and easy to clean, and they fit right into place without any modification needed.What I like most is how evenly they spread the heat now. Food cooks more consistently, and there’s less scorching or charring from flare-ups. They also help turn those drippings into extra flavor without making a greasy mess. We used these heat shields in a masterbuilt smoker as heat deflectors as the temps fluctuate quite a bit from side to side. They are incredibly thick and sturdy and did a great job.Warning about using this in the masterbuilt: Make sure grease will have a path to drip down as designed. First use had a grease fire when raising the temp from 225 to 275. Luckily for us we were wrapping the brisket when it happened.

Recently picked up a used grill and it was in major need of replacing a few things. These flame tamer and heat plates were a perfect fit. Removing the old ones and placing these in made the grill look brand new. I’ve since used the grill about 3 times and it’s been holding up nicely. The built and thickness looks promising so hopefully it lasts for a few seasons.All in all this is a great and easy replacement if you’re looking to make your grill look brand new again.
