I was very pleased with this podium! It came in one piece, so there was no assembling. It is very sturdy and a wide place at the top to have all the things that I have to preach with.

This is such a huge win for our stage design. The cost was very reasonable and the style is perfect. It weighs just enough to stay in place without bolting it down yet it is light enough to move.

Size, shape, weight, stability, and appearance of okay (appearance particularly not great), and the base is fine, but the shelf is of such poor particle board that almost all the pre-drilled holes stripped when we screwed in the screws provided, meaning the shelf could topple off with light pressure near any edge.

The only issue is that the toes are not welded to the plates on both the platform and the note plate. Still sturdy and functional but 4 more welds and this thing could have been totally solid. Still, it is a great speaking podium... Not too showy, Not to boring.

After some looking, I decided that this was the least intrusive lectern, which could be pushed up against a wall and didn't have bits of the stand pointing at me. I was a bit afraid that the 2 posts at the back might not be strong or rigid enough.I shouldn't have worried. This thing is heavy, and solid. The base is wide, and stable even on plush carpet. It happily supports a 17in x 13in x 16lb (art) book open on page 1, with all the weight on one side. If you have a huge book that you want to read while standing, this lectern is great.The only downside is that it weighs a ton and postage costs a fortune.
