I used this to adapt a 10v power supply for use with my Pinecil V1 soldering iron. Soldering the positive to the positive and the negative to the negative was easy, and the 2.5x5.5 male plug fit the end of my soldering iron just fine. Having a spare is handy and the insulation on these are very good.

The stripped wire was pre-tinned, which was a nice touch. The barrel connector fit perfectly into the power jack of the DC motor I wanted to power up. The barrel connector was wired center positive, as advertised.

I needed a nice sturdy 5525 barrel connector, capable of handling 24v. Other brands I've purchased in the past feel flimsy, and almost always wind up having issues 6 months to a year down the road, which I'm attributing to poor quality materials and poor solder contact to the barrel connector.This brand, however, surprised me immediately. The wires are a nice thick gauge, and are *actually* copper, pre-tinned for convenience, and coated with the sheath -- not inserted into a silicone tube like other brands. In other words, the chance of the wires fraying or wearing out is next to zero. Very well-made all around.Barrel connector is true to size, a nice snug fit (not too tight, but not loose AT ALL) for both of the devices I intend to use them with.The wire is nice and flexible, not too stiff -- but I expect in weather below 40F the sheath would stiffen substantially. However this isn't a concern for me.Considering a two pack of these was half the price of a single 3ft pre-soldered different brand, I'm kicking myself for not getting these before.Hopefully these last a long time. I suspect they will.
