Overall, this is a decent pair of night vision binoculars. I've had several pair like this over the years and this one works as well as any other. I can make out anything within a few hundred feet. I will say that the screen brightness is too much. When using these in the dark or low light it kills your natural night vision. The control buttons also do not illuminate which I was disappointed in. Other than that, this is a pretty basic pair of night vision binoculars. Battery life has been average and I like that they are rechargeable. Overall, these are a decent quality.

If you are a beginner, this is a good way to explore the world of night vision on a budget. During the day, this unit basically functions like a budget camera, the screen givies you a live view similar to an electronic viewfinder… it can take casual photos and video, but the zoom is not optical but digital, which means the more you zoom in, the lower the resolution and the more pixilated the picture or video will be. At night is where this unit shines; when you turn on the built-in infrared light, you can see things in pitch dark, even well over a hundred yards away at the highest setting. Images will lack color but are well-defined. Although these are described as goggles, the rubber hood surrounding the display is not designed to to be used against your face as it is not cupped to wrap around your eyes and there is no notch for your nose… I just hold it so the top of the hood rests against my forehead. The actual screen is behind a magnifying lens to make the image appear larger. Iʻve had older night vision devices that went through batteries like crazy, so I appreciate that these are rechargeable. If you are looking for a military grade tactical tool then these are not it… but for recreational use, these will do the job.

First off I couldn't find anything in the options to turn down the brightness of the screen but holy cow if it is pitch dark the screen is extremely bright and could be a little painful to switch back and forth from using and not in the darkness. it is very simple to use but you do have to figure out where all the buttons are because nothing lights up and obviously you're probably using this at night so you will have to get some sort of light to see what buttons are what unless you memorize where they all are. the pictures that I am attaching for this review is a car that was about a hundred yards away and I zoomed in about 14 times to get the quality that you see. you could definitely make out a person in the vehicle and it was funny when their dog would pop up you would see the eyes. you definitely would not get much detail but for us we were really just wanting to watch and see if anybody was coming our way or what they were doing. it does take videos with one button and photos with the other you can change the IR levels and access the menu options so it's not a ton of buttons but again none of them light up or anything so you need to kind of memorize or have a small light with you. the manual focus worked pretty well obviously for the price point you are probably going to pay at least double to get some kind of auto focus deal. the image quality when you're not using night vision is similar to an older digital camera. honestly I don't know if I would ever use this during the daytime to capture anything. I really just wanted it to be able to look out into the distance at night to see anything that is out there. it is very lightweight and has a threaded Mount so you can put it on some kind of tripod or something. but I don't think it has any kind of hooks that you could put a strap on it similar to binoculars. all I know something cool if you live somewhere that gets extremely dark and you don't want to have to get out a flashlight that has a very strong Beam on it.
