This is a great camera, and it is definitely worth the investment to replace the integrated camera on your laptop. I know that the integrated laptop is convenient, but it does have disadvantages. It is often too close if you are working, and if you change your screen position, you change your viewing angle as well. Having a separate camera is needed. So, how does this one stack up? First...plugging it into a Windows 10 machine, and the camera just worked without any setup needed. As for the picture, it is definitely better than my laptop camera (Lenovo). The picture is great and at a much higher resolution. But, the kicker is the colouring, which is particularly noticeable in low light. The skin tones are much more pleasant and truer with the Camii camera, and that is without the ring light. The image (my image) improves once the light is on are removing shadows. In my office, I have bands from fluorescent lighting that appear with my laptop, but because I can orient a separate camera, they disappear. What's particular great is that I can place the camera a little further away and by adjusting the zoom and position, I can get the right framing that I want for meetings instead of a giant head.I am so very happy with this camera, and I feel much better how I'm represented in remote meetings!

This camera is basically a scam. The autofocus constantly jumps in and out of focus, even when you're sitting still and in good lighting. If you disable autofocus with the remote, the company's watermark appears on the screen, making it useless. Plus, Amazon says the company offers no customer support.

The webcam comes with a tripod mount, USB-A to USB-C converter adapter, remote and user manual. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with the required 3 x AAA batteries for the remote. This should have been included in the box so I can use the camera & remote straight out of the box vs having to find or buy additional items. The camera has an aluminum exterior with an aggressive knurling around the sides. It provides a decent look and some added grip, but the milling was a bit too aggressive as some of the edges were not properly rounded off/chamfered so it actually catches my finger when rubbed against it. Better QC is required. The camera also has a light ring around the front and the camera lens has a privacy lens cover so you can let people see you when you want and not see you when you don’t.The camera can be rotated a full 360° on the horizontal plane (left to right), but when I did that, the mount started to loosen. Rotating back the opposite way didn’t help and there were no visible screws to tighten it. This could be an issue later down the line as it may loosen to a point it doesn’t maintain its position/angle.The adjustable mount “clip” swings open and holds onto even thin monitors, it can be placed flat on a table/surface or attached to the tripod using the 1/4" threaded hole on the bottom (you can use your own tripod/mount as the 1/4" is a standardized connector).I setup the camera on my laptop and the mount clip holds onto the thing screen securely. The camera does not require any 3rd party drivers to install, just plug and play on my Windows 10 system. There’s a touch sensitive button below the camera lens which allows the ring light to be turned on. It has 2 colour temps, a cool 6500K & warmer 3000K and 3 brightness levels per colour mode. I found the touch sensitive sensor is a bit hit and miss but found if I touched closer to the camera lens it seems to activate more consistently.Video quality is pretty good, but I found the focus was a bit questionable. The background seems super sharp, but my face seems a bit out of focus, even though it’s in focus. Moving closer/further and it auto adjusts fairly quickly.Minimum focal length is approx. 3.5”.Using the remote, you can enable fixed focus so it won’t auto-adjust when you move around.Light ring output is ok. Works great for dark rooms, but not super effective I normal room lighting levels.Audio quality is also very clear without any crackling.Video Specs:- Video Resolution: 3840x2160- Video Bitrate: 57645kbps- Video Frame Rate: 23.93fps- Video Codec: H264 – MPEG-4 AVC (part 10)(avc1)- Audio Bitrate: 192kbps- Audio Sample Rate: 48kHz- Channels: 1 (Mono)- Audio Codec: MPEG AAC Audio (mp4a)- File Type: MP4- File Size: 213MB for a 30sec filePhoto Specs:- Resolution: 3840x2160 @96dpi- Bit Depth: 24bit- File Type: JPG- File Size: 0.97MBOverall, the Camii 4K webcam did a good job. Good quality video and clear audio. It’s easy to use and has a built-in ring light with a privacy lens cover. I would have hoped focus would have been a bit better as it seemed to focus better on the background vs my face.At the time of this review, the webcam was priced at $71.99 with an available 15% off coupon.

This webcam out strips all other webcams I have had before in the quality of the picture and its low light sensitivity. Under most conditions I don't even need to turn on its light ring. The internal noise canceling mic, remote ctrl and miniature tripod (which is the perfect size for my desk) are an added bonus. The webcam worked flawlessly out of the box. Using the remote to access the features like zoom, resolution, color adjustment and light settings is much better than requiring an app. Of all the webcams flooding the marketplace this is a quality choice.

I've been asked by a couple of my regular suppliers to make some videos of their products. Although I have an extensive background in audio, this is my first foray into video and webcams. Getting my feet wet, I didn't want to spend much money until I was familiar with the entire process of making and editing a video. The reviews, write-ups, and customer-supplied video reviews were a great help. After narrowing down the selection, I settled on the Camii 4K Webcam, mostly because of the ratings, features, and the fact it had a nice discount coupon when I purchased it. The tripod is a nice touch and also a reason for the purchase.I'll update this review when I have more hands-on experience with the unit. What I can say now, is that the camera arrived quickly, was well-packed, and contained everything, including a fairly concise instruction booklet. The booklet helped me identify the controls and layout of the webcam but gives nothing by way of how to use it, or how to make a video.Hooking up the camera is simple enough...just plug it in. That is all you do. There are no apps to download or setups to go through. My computer uses Windows 10 which comes with a built-in camera app, something of which I wasn't aware. It took me a short time to figure this out and that the Camii webcam had already located the app and attached itself to it. After some trial and error, I had the use of both the camera and app figured out. Before you spend a few hours figuring out where the video files you produce go, let me explain that Windows has a file named Camera Roll located within the Pictures filling system. The built-in microphone isn't very efficient. While it does a good job of blocking out background noise, voice pickup is very low, even with the suggested input volume set on your computer at 100%. I think it will be adequate for my needs, others may find the addition of a separate mike necessary. As for picture quality, I have no complaints. Images are sharp and clear, even under natural lighting. The adjustable brightness and color temperature let you zero in on the desired image quality. The zoom feature isn't much, with just 3 steps, but works nicely. And I especially like the included remote control, another swaying reason for purchase. All in all, I am quite pleased with the Camii 4K Webcam and would recommend it to anyone needing to occasionally web chat or office conference. Here the webcam shines as it seamlessly integrates with all of the popular internet conferencing apps.Update:I have used the Camii 4k Webcam a few times now and am very pleased with it and with the results. Well worth the money.

Camer was very easy to install, simply plug it into your computer and use the included adjust the camera as you see fit. For the price this camera exceeds expectations.

I have used this on my desktop where I don't already have a camera and it was an easy connect and setup. Calls over teams and zoom were clear without any distortion. I then also tried to use this with my laptop which had a built in camera, but this one's quality was far better especially because of the light around. There is also the built in privacy cover that snaps on and off which is great peace of mind not having to worry about that. Cord is also long enough to reach places.

So lets get one thing clear. This is a 50$ webcam. So don't expect high quality video or pictures. But it does have better dynamic range and frame response then my old 2015 iMac's webcam. The build: This is an all plastic product with the exception of the small metallic lens accent peace and the tripod mount. Witch is made of a pliable hardened polymer. The camera's resolution is only 1080p. There is a small ring light that helps to eliminate harsh shadows caused buy poor lighting conditions. There is a long usb-A cord and a usb-A to C adapter dongle. That is included in the package. The picture quality:The images produced are comparable to an iPhone 6 at 1080p resolution. Although the images look similar with grain and video noise. The dynamic range is slightly better overall. Giving you a more complete picture with slightly better contrast. Don't expect high dynamic range, or high fidelity skin tone reproduction. Don't worry you won't look terrible but. It just cannot compare to the latest phones and tablets on the market.ring light:The thing that sets it apart is it's integrated ring light. But this feature lacks in overall brightness. Again it does mitigate the harshness of shadows and can act like a softer * fill light. But it can't even compete with ambient lighting in a room. So it might be better used in a late night chat session with the lights down low. To see an overall change in picture quality. The ring light has capacitive touch dimming with 4 modes. You can change colour temps from warm to cool. But warm would be your best option, since the white balance can get thrown off with the cooler colour temp. The mini tripod:This is a cool little addition that i found to be really nifty. It's an octopus style tripod made of ( flexible polymer ) that can be positioned and attached on different structures. It does give enough steadiness to the overall product to be a useful addition. It screws on the bottom with a traditional mounting point.Final thoughts: If you are looking for a cheeper webcam with an integrated ring light with capacitive touch. Then this little unit might be the right one for you. Even with it's flaws it does offer a nice package that has some really great ideas That sets it apart from others within this price bracket. My overall rating is a 3.7 out of 5.
