This set of 4 mm stainless steel carabiners are as advertised, nicely built and heavy for their size, and they open easily and snap tight. I'm using these on some outdoor projects in the garden, and they're perfect for use with small diameter stainless steel cable. Galvanized steel carabiners about this size at the local big box home improvement store would cost twice as much, so they're an excellent value.

We close our front gate every night using a chain with this type of clip (coyotes in the area + chickens behind the house… you get the idea). The old clip had developed rust and/or corrosion in the hinge, and it was really stiff and hard for my arthritic thumbs to get open.I got this as a replacement, and it’s working perfectly. It’s stiff enough to be secure, but smooth and reasonably easy to open. It’s also heavyweight and feels sturdy. I’m very pleased with it and glad to have a few spares on hand, as well.
