Installation Instructions

3. Pull out the aging windshield wiper refills
4. Take out the new windshield wiper refills, insert the flat end into the wiper and cut off the excess
5. Close the cover

I was looking for a trim-to-fit wiper blade refill for my 2007 Toyota Prius rear windshield wiper and I eventually got these to fit, but they appear to be designed incorrectly. The refills I’m used to using have a pair of channels at the top where the metal reinforcement spine goes, and second pair of channels beneath that where it slides into the wiper arm fingers. Instead of having a nice wide second channel pair, these refills have more of a small notch channel - which in real life is even smaller than it appears in the Product Description photos. See attached photo for a comparison of the cross section of the refills received compared to the original refill I was replacing.Unfortunately, I didn’t realize this until I had already trimmed the new refill, had transferred the metal spine over, and was trying to get it loaded into the blade. There was no way the blade’s fingers were going to fit into that tiny second channel. I finally got it to work by forcing the fingers along the top channel where the metal spine sits - inelegant, but it’s workable.After cleaning the refill with some rubbing alcohol (required, because it shed black rubber residue all over my hands as I was working with it) I tried out the wiper while spraying water on the window. I’d give these refills a “C” grade for their ability to clear water (doing better on the return stroke than the forward stroke).Between the fitment and performance, these refills have been quite a disappointment.

The section for these refills is the universal, most common one. These fit the original wipers on my Honda CR-V, and also the ones on a Rav4. Just have to cut to size, then split the two wiper inserts as they are attached to each other.These refills do not come with the steel bands that get inserted in the top groove on both sides. The original ones rely on a notch in the rubber refills that these universal refills are missing, so I cannot reuse those steel bands as the rubber insert would slide along the wiper arm. I used the steel bands from a different universal refills kit, and these have small hooks that prevent the insert from sliding.The rubber in these refills is softer than the original inserts. They wipe very well, maintain contact to the windshield all across the area they cover, with no strikes. I am not sure whether the rubber being softer will cause these to wear out faster, for now they work well, visibly better than the old ones that they replaced.

They look exactly like windshield wipers should look. It may be a bit challenging to get them into the frames. My OEM ones had some grooves cut into them so I couldn't swap one for one. The replacements look more manageable. Now I'll have to wait a bit until I need to try inserting these again.

Rubber wiper inserts are good quality and easy to install… if you actually have wipers where you can replace the rubber insert.Make sure you check what kind of wipers you have on your car before purchasing! I neglected to check mine and forgot I had the complete units. But I was able to test this on a friend’s car and they worked great! Good value for money, too!

Its nice to have this option instead of replacing the whole assembly. works as described.Easy to trim the excess.10 out of 10 would recommend.The slid right in without much of an issue.The wipe fully, no weird spots.

super easy to install this insert replacement rubber blade all i do is just pull out the damage rubber blade and slide this one in and done.So far so good and now my window is clean and i can see clearly now the rain is gone and i can see all obstacles in my way thanks to this rubber blade :) Very happy with the product and will buy again soon. Thanks

nice rubber refills for wipersall are 28 inches and you cut to fitmuch more economical than replacing the whole wiper every time the rubber breaks downwipes cleanly and streak-freeno squeaks

Update: The blade refill are held in by the metal spline, but fail to lock in place. Remove 2 🌟.At the time of this review this item was priced at $5.88.The package included TWO coiled 28" Windshield Wiper Blades Refills - each coiled refill separates into TWO blades. These blades are 0.2" VS 0.375" (old blades)These are REFILLS that require removing the wiper arm, disassembling, installing new blade refill, reassembling and reinstalling. There are several helpful online videos to guide you.Although it would be easier to replacing both windshield wipers , it will cost $20. Save $$$ and the environment and replace only the wiper blades.
