2006 VW TDI, perfect fit, identical to original plugs. The dealer wanted $60 or $80 each for these! You'll need a 10mm deep socket! Be careful in removal because the old glow plugs can be brittle, so remove them like a surgeon and you should be safe. You must use anti-seize because these are steel and the head is aluminum, and torque them to 15Nm (11ft-lb)! The anti-seize prevents corrosion, and it also ensures that your torque is delivered as metal on metal. Sometimes, with corroded threads, you could reach 15Nm just with the friction of the corrosion without actually tightening anything. I never really believed in torque wrenches until I started working on bicycles which sometimes require 5 nm for handlebars. I also found that the rubber wire harness for my glow plugs got brittle and fell apart. I used some shrink tubing to protect the female connectors on the harness, then I used blue high temp gasket RTV and slathered on several layers over a few days; this should last another 20 years, and I didn't have to solder in a new harness- pick your poison on practical or pretty! Also note, the emissions warning doesn't go away immediately. I spent a few days driving around on local trips thinking about what my next step was, and then the Emissions warning went away! Fantastisch! Again, use anti-seize. I've been using anti-seize for almost 30 years on steam boilers which are the perfect storm of steel and moisture, and I'm always amazed when I can extract perfectly clean bolts from a flange without having to consider the hazards of tapping a flange to the next size up to save the customer from replacing an otherwise perfectly good boiler!
