The original faucet aerators were 28 years old. One simply broke apart and fell into the sink. I searched everywhere for an exact replacement. My local hardware store had all sorts of aerators, but not this exact size.I found this in minutes on Amazon. The measurements were exactly the same as the one I wanted to replace. Once I finally got the spigot cap off, the old aerator came out easily and the replacement just popped right in.On caution. The caps which hold these in place are, on our spigots, decorative and brass on silver. It takes a strong pair of wide pliers to get them off after 28 years. I put some strong cushioning material around the cap before I tried to get it off, thus avoiding scarring it. Took a lot of torque, but it worked like a charm. My water must be rather clean. One of my employees tells me he has to remove and clean his aerator every week or two. I'd not done it once in 28 years, and the screen was surprisingly clean.

These are much higher than 1.5 GPM, I measured 4.5 @ 60 PSI. Worthless for my application.

Does not restrict water as indicated! water comes thru as fast as an open pipe. it just directs it in a straight line and is noisy. It is like a full flow filter to catch sediment. Good thing I only bought four of them.... I will be looking for something else!!!

I bought the higher flowing green aerator to replace my original red aerator in my sink faucet. Which had my flow really restricted because of years of use and my red one had super small holes. I only needed a pair of straight slip jaw pliers and a soft rag so I did not mar the finish. The insert fit perfectly just like the original red one. Flow was increased by at least double.
