An excellent choice in building a custom fit storage. While not the most precise cuts, the size of the square and material is actually not bad. This is absolutely on par with any of the other filler material out there and will easily serve as a replacement for an older storage or to build out a new storage. These came in a larger bag as the material was not vacuum packed and had some heat distortion. Leaving the materials out on the bench for awhile (a couple weeks) and flexing it a bit brought the corners back to mostly square.

These foam pieces are meant to be torn at the 3/8" perforations to create openings for items such as cameras and lenses. The perforations are cut square every 3/8" over the entire thick foam pieces. Then you put the thin pieces on top and under to fully protect the item. I think the stuff tears too easily and heavy items will rip it apart as it jostles in a case especially a brief case where items often go from vertical to horizontal. I chose not to use it for this reason. I think it could be useful for one camera with the lens connected, in a small case since the item would have little room to shift against the foam and the case walls. But I would not trust the material to support an kit of lenses and cameras in a single case.
