Step 1
Open door remove two screws under the lip that holds top cover down.
Lift up and pull top off.
Step 2
Close door.
Remove two screws on upper left and right that hold front cover.
Step 3
Pop dront off carefully. Disconnect wires on door.
Step 4
Pull belt off tension pulley. Remove drum and swap little black part.

Squeaking Hotpoint dryer model HTDX100ED2WW. The replacement sleeve outside diameter was smaller then what came off as was the inside diameter so fit was kinda tight. Had to use a 5/8" deep socket to tap it on. Always fun trying to get belt back on but some blocks of wood help to support drum while doing this so you can get your arm in there. Unfortunately upon reassembly I noticed that front drum plastic bearing support is worn ( really worn where I put that 'X' ) .....SOooo This is my problem. Have to get another part.
