I have always been plagued with wires when smoking. This wireless thermometer keeps it clean and I was able to keep the base a little over 7 feet away. The Weber Smokey mountain has fairly thin metal compared to an offset or my electric Masterbuilt. That will be my next test. The price point is cheaper than the main competitor which I like.I’m not a huge fan of the hole it makes in the protein, I would gather bbq sauce could hide that issue. I didn’t check to see if my thermometer was calibrated. When I compared it to my handheld thermos it was 9 degrees off. It was probably human error and not checking the same area the inkbird was checking. It got me close enough. If I was doing a pork butt l, it’s not about temp, it’s about feel.I like the waterproof capability as long smoked can be unpredictable.I look forward to many more cooks with these thermometers.

My set just arrived and I must say the box it comes in is a really nice that you will end on keeping to store everything in. You have to download the app, which was easy to find and down load. The Bluetooth set was super easy, the WiFi was a little harder since I didn’t have my home WiFi set up to have a 2.4 channel, but once I turned it on it was super easy. So far I used one probe to monitor a pork roast and it worked perfectly, the temperature matched with my digital thermometer. The build quality is nice the probes are nice and hefty and the unit is a good size. This going to replace my inkbird thermometer and I look forward to seeing what they come up with next.

Works perfectly! At first I was worried because I could not figure out how to change the default from C to F, but then after browsing the app a bit found the settings where you get to choose.I'm still a bit confused as to why there needs to be a wifi as well as the bluetooth since both seem to have the same operating range. of course, the wifi will allow you to monitor the temps from around the world, but who does that anyway? if you're going to go out of bluetooth range, just let things cook and check it when you get home! If you HAVE to monitor the temps while away from home so you can control the smoker, then also use the smoker's probe(s).

I picked up the INKBIRD INT-14-BW because I wanted a truly wireless thermometer that could handle multiple steaks at once on my charcoal grill. After using it a few times, here’s my honest take.Right out of the box, the build quality feels solid. The four probes are lightweight but seem durable, and they charge inside the case, which is super convenient. Setup was pretty simple—download the app, sync it up via Bluetooth/WiFi, and you’re good to go.I threw a couple of ribeyes and a thick New York strip on the grill, and having four probes meant I could monitor each one individually, which was awesome. The dual sensors on each probe measure both the internal temp of the meat and the ambient grill temperature. This was especially useful for keeping an eye on hot spots in my charcoal setup. The connection was solid—Bluetooth worked fine when I was near the grill, and WiFi let me check temps from inside the house without worrying about losing signal. The app is pretty intuitive, though it takes a little getting used to.If you’re serious about grilling or BBQ, the INT-14-BW is a great investment. It makes it way easier to nail the perfect steak without constantly hovering over the grill. Is it perfect? Not quite, but it’s damn close. Definitely worth picking up if you want a hassle-free, wireless temp monitoring experience.

I purchased this wireless thermometer to replace an old cheap wired grill thermometer.I was able to connect the Inkbird Android app to this thermometer and get it configured to connect to my Wi-Fi without any issues. The app allows you to pick what type of food you’re cooking and gives temperature targets. So far, I’ve used the thermometer for 3 grilling/smoking sessions (Pork shoulder/pulled pork, picanha and grilling some chicken breasts). Being able to keep the base station away from the grill and out of the elements was great. When I was smoking the pork shoulder – it started raining and I had no concerns since the base station was safely stored away from the smoker.Having the 4 separate probes has come in handy to make sure I didn’t overcook the chicken breasts – being able to tell when each one was fully cooked and safe to take off the grill. Not having cables to worry about also is a relief. You can check the ambient temperature of the grill when looking at the probes in the app. One feature I would like to see if they can implement would be being able to set an alarm on the ambient temperature – this could be handy for long smokes to alert if the smoker goes out.Overall I’m a big fan of this thermometer!
