The holes don’t line up, so you’ll have to use the toothpick method or something like it. But worst of all-they only sent me 5 black screws! I had to repurpose my old chrome screws. Defeats the purpose of going all black. So out of 16 screws they sent 5……yeah, that’s a problem. Then the holes not lining up…..

Needed for a cheap uke project. These work just fine.

I've been building guitars for a couple years and wanted to build a few basses. I wasn't sure about my templates yet, so I wasn't going to spend a lot on hardware/electronics for the first build. The machine heads will be perfect for this build. Not to say that they aren't decent replacements for "real" basses, they are.The machine heads are well made, turn smoothly, and I haven't noticed any blemishes in the finish.I'm excited to get this bass finished and start playing it. I know that at the least, I'll be able to get it in tune...

Prefect for replacing those worn out broken bass tuners. Should fit most any import modern bass guitar.

Do they feel a little cheap? Sure, but it was perfect for upgrading the tuning pegs on this soprano ukulele. I would say most issues we ran into were more about the quality and sizing of this ukulele rather than the tuning pegs themselves. As you can see in the photos the strings are holding tension well.Issues we ran into:-The width of the head was different depending on the spot, so the screw that bolts the tuner into place on top was too long and had to be ground down to fit properly.-The holes from the previous tuner were smaller than the holes required for this one, so new ones were drilled very carefully so as not to make the side too thin.-The new pegs caused the strings in the middle to rest a little higher than before so one of the strings kept slipping off of the guide at the top of the fret board. ( this was made slightly better by winding the string so it rested lower to the fingerboard; however, it still buzzes due to the weird tension. So in the case you are trying to fit these tuning pegs onto your ukulele, note there are no instructions. You will need a little drill to create holes for the tiny screws in the back, and probably other tools depending on the ukulele you are working with. The tuning pegs themselves do not carry the weight, and force you to tighten the strings forever since they are small, but they are functional and work enough for what we needed!
