I used the mesh panels (a 4U and a 6U) on the side of my rack. My rack's sides are shorter by about 1/4 inch than the standard rack width. So I used the magnetic fasteners to fasten one side down. I find myself having to work on my rack from the side and ease of removing these mesh panels makes that easy.

These panels help save substantial amounts of weight, especially when having to build large racks. Additionally, not having to deal with rack blank doors makes it easy to get to equipment and repatch. I will be ordering more of these when I have to build more systems.

I bought this to close out the back of my gator 6u case. The case is 19 inches in length. The mesh does not fit all the way from one end to the other. I thought it may be a bad one and asked for a replacement. The replacement came and also does not fit. I would not buy this for audio racks

Love this product and it has been such a helpful addition to my kit. I need a vented cover for a section of my rack but also needed to access it from time to time. I have to say it is so great that I don’t have to pull out a screwdriver every time I need to get to the internals of my sound rack.Even if I didn’t need to quickly change my setup, the weight reduction after having a sheet steel mesh cover makes it a worthwhile purchase.

This is a great replacement for the classic 4u panel at less than half the weight. Great for any modular mobile server rack or home server.

I needed one of these mesh panels for a home server I am building where I have a bunch of fans I installed in the top section of my case, and this fits perfectly.It is a simple mesh fabric that has snaps on it and screw-in snap bases that fit right into the holes on the inside front edge of my case. Took just a few minutes to install.

I think it looks great! It doesn’t come with cage nuts. So make sure you have some extras.
