The Velcro backing of the pad is sticking very strong to the plate on my random orbital grinder! So far, the diamond plating has held up to sanding agate!

I needed a more aggressive first stage sanding pad than the resin diamond pads after using my angle grinder diamond cup to flatten a rock surface. Not to say that it’s super aggressive or too much, but it works well working out smoothing the surface that the angle grinder diamond cup kind of jacks up. I used it on a hard granite/quartz rock, so I'm sure it would do even better on a little less hard material.
