About this item

  • 5 in 1 TDS Meter PH Tester, 0.01 High Accuracy Digital for Water, PH/TDS/EC/Salt/Temp PPM Water Tester

“Water is the most critical resource issue of our lifetime and our children’s lifetime. The health of our waters is the principal measure of how we live on the land.” – Luna Leopold
According to the US Environmental Protection Agency drinking water standard stipulates that the pH range of drinking water is 6.58.5, and the TDS of drinking water should be controlled below 500 mg/L(500ppm), while for non-drinking water such as spring water and bottled water, the TDS should not exceed 1000 mg/L(1000ppm).
Why Should You Measure TDS and PH Levels?
Naturally, mineral water has no smell or taste. A change in the TDS and PH level changes the texture and taste, making the water unfit for consumption.
From the experiments of some scientists, the following problems were found; some of the reasons why you should measure the TDS and PH level of your drinking water are:
*Taste (high TDS level can make the water salty and/or bitter).
*Health Concerns (water with high TDS level will not have a drastic impact on your health but the high level of lead or copper can make you fall sick).
*Cooking (TDS level above 1000 ppm can change the way the food tastes).
Q: What is the best TDS level for drinking water?
A: Generally, the TDS level between 50-500ppm is considered as the most suitable and acceptable. TDS levels below 50 can be considered high-quality drinking water.
Note: If the content is less than 80ppm, it is called soft water; if the content is between 80ppm-160ppm, it is called hard water; if it is above 300ppm, it is called very hard water.;
Q: Is Low TDS level bad or harmful for health?
A: If the TDS level is about 1000 PPM, it is unsafe and unfit for human consumption.
pH and TDS in Drinking Water: Generally, proper pH levels in water aid in the absorption of essential minerals like Calcium, Magnesium, and Potassium. It should be noted that: acidic water can irritate the gastrointestinal system, potentially causing stomach upset and other health issues. Therefore, we recommend that you ensure the safety of your drinking water through a water quality tester.
Multi-functional Water Quality Tester:
This 5 in 1 ph meter could be widely used in many water quality testing situations, drinking water, water purification applications, aquaculture, hydroponic, swimming pool, hot spa, water treatment, food, make wine and so on.
Balance Salt Levels in a Pool:
Does your pool have the right amount of salt? The ideal salt level of pool is between 2700-3400 ppm with 3200 ppm being optimal. This salinity tester will help you determine if the salt levels in the pool are adequate or not. The test range for salt : 0-200000ppm. (1ppt=1000ppm, when ppm figure is over 9999ppm, the meter automatically changes to ppt ).
pH, EC and TDS Requirements in Plants:
TDS/PH plays a pivotal role in making the nutrients in your solution soluble so that they can be accessed by your plants. At the same time, they are also environmental indicators for the survival of aquatic organisms. Behind every thriving plant is a gardener who cares for her carefully. Through this 5 in 1 PH tester, you can easily grasp the ph environmental factors of plant growth.
Aquarium Fish Tank Test Tool:
Detecting water parameters accurately such as salt and pH levels are fast and easy with this Aquarium test meter. With just a single ph pen already enables you to test your water accurately and keep your tank clean and maintain a safe environment for your dearest water pets.

It worked for about a month with no problems. It won't calibrate or read ph correctly.

The ph is easy to do and calibrate but the other 2 is hard to figure out.

This is a great multi-purpose meter..Works well - quickly - and without drama..My only comment is that I should have more careful when I purchased a salt measuring meter...This unit does that too!Good purchase

I love everything about this product with the exception of one thing I’m getting a little old for reading the very small directions. If you could show me where I could get these directions a little bigger I wouldn’t have to use this big spyglass other than that. It’s great great I’ve tested every bit of water that I can get my hands on and I can assure you this thing is fast and accurate and with the extra calibrations materials they put in the bag, you will be able to use this thing for many years. The batteries are great. They’re easy to obtain and the thing does everything you want it is reliable and the best value for money you can buy. I can’t say enough about this product I’ve had other and other water detectors and they don’t hold the light to this in my backyard. I have a 20 x 40‘ inground pool , is it item of Must have.

Will not stay calibrated. The readings fluctuate wildly. I read and followed the directions carefully. I calibrated. And calibrated. Repeated again (up to 6 times). I started with 2 pt, then 3 pt. The meter at first wouldn’t read the same solution even close. I factory reset. Re calibrated… same problem each time. Same solution might read several very different readings. Going back to paper.
