As a YouTuber, I like to have a monitor to be able to make sure I’m always in frame, the lighting is good and to see how I’m going to look. I have a 13” Monitor I use in the studio but purchased this because it’s supposed to be portable.Well, the 2 things essentially needed to make this portable we’re not included in the box; and those are the battery and power cord adapter.Thankfully I had an adapter that would fit. And I have absolutely no idea what kind of battery it uses since there was no manual. Only the monitor and a HDMI cable. This monitor is intended for more professional settings because I didn’t know what half the settings were for.I just wanted a monitor to be able to hook my camera up to and I am able to connect it to my camera and use it like I wanted. The picture quality is crystal clear. All that being said, I think I’ll just stick with my original monitor.

UPDATE:The seller reached out to me personally to let me know they looked at my review and agreed about what I said concerning the original price of this field monitor. In response they actually lowered the price substantially to a much more reasonable price. This is a first for me. Never have I seen a seller lower a price of a product to such a degree as this in response to one of their customers. Not only that but they provided me with the full manual for the monitor which was another issue I brought up. That being said I am happy to upgrade my original review from 2 stars to 4 stars. I am leaving the original review below so you can see what I first experienced with this monitor so you can judge for yourself how impressive this action from the seller was.ORIGINAL REVIEWThis little 5" field monitor appears to be pack with some interesting features. There is only one problem. There is no manual or any instructions in the box what so ever. Nor can I find any manufacturer website for this device. So basically you are left on your own to figure out how this thing works. In the box you have the field monitor itself, a sun screen, USB cable and a monitor mount. They do include a HDMI cable however for some reason the cable they chose to include is a full size HDMI to mini HDMI. Since like 99% of cameras use either full size HDMI or micro-hdmi, the decision to include this type of cable is baffling. The build quality is all plastic. I wasn't expecting such a cheaply manufactured field monitor at this price point.Once I hunted down an appropriate HDMI cable I was able to test the monitor out. The brightness of this monitor is actually pretty dim at only about 400 nits so it's probably a good thing they included the sun shade. I was able to navigate around the touch screen interface without too much issue. Seems to work as well as other lower priced field monitors from folks like Feelworld or Andycine. All of the usual features are here that you would expect such as focus peaking and waveforms. I did like that there were several different false color options so you can find a color tone that works best for you.The stand out feature here is the USB connectivity for video capture with application on your computer like OBS. Basically this monitor takes the place of a USB capture card. It's a great feature to have and makes this field monitor really unique. Resolution appears to max out a 1080p 60fps.The big question here is does the USB output justify the the high price of this fairly cheaply build field monitor. Well looking around on Amazon I see 5" field monitors with a touch screen interface for as little as $139. A USB capture card that can capture up to 1080p60fps can be had for as little as $20 - $30. That puts the total at around $160. The price of this field monitor is at the time of this review is $259. I fail to see how it's worth an additional $100 to go with this setup other than it would be a pretty clean setup not having to have 2 devices.I really did want to like this field monitor. It certainly is unique being one of the few that can output a video signal over USB. But the inflated price tag for the quality of materials here, not to mention the lack of any kind of manual, I just don't feel comfortable recommending this field monitor.

Even with the leading 5" video capture monitors at two to four times the price, they are all 1080P. Due to the 5" screen size colors pop, clarity is outstanding, all in a compact package that will make your camera gear look so much more professional. Talking about compact I wanted to try this out on my Sony WDX-150 and I needed to find my HDMI adapter wire that runs full sized HDMI like this monitor has to an HDMI Mid-size cable. I was able to find my HDMI full sized to a mini, but not a MIDI, in frustration, after a long tine looking, I sat down, and looked deeper in the box and darn if they didn't supply one. They also supply a full-size USB-Standard A to A so you can plug this monitor into your PC.There are two 1/4" 20 mounts; one on the bottom, and one on the side. This is a full featured, full menu monitor. My Sony F970 batteries pop right into the holder on the back. The battery is pretty substantial and provides up to 72 hours of screen time. Of course, having extras which is common because if you are buying lighting kits, it seems the Sony F970 is THE most popular rechargeable battery. If you are thinking of doing a solo You Tube channel, and are concerned about getting yourself square in the middle of the shot, this is an ideal solution. The 1/4" 20 mount, both the one on the side, and the one on the bottom enable you to swing the monitor around so it is facing you while filming. Screen size rules, and this is just the right size. Highly recommended.

I've had this product for a while and it's never turned on. When I plug it in to the wall, the green power light will turn on, but the screen won't. No matter if it's plugged into something or not, there are no signs of life other than that green light. From the research online I've done, this company has no website and no online support to help me troubleshoot.
