This cost me more than $3 per pound. I use it for DIY PON. It is a good mix of lava, pumice and Maifanitum stone and green zeolite. But it is for larger roots. Fine roots will be lost in this stuff. I bought Bonsai Gritty Mix 2.4 lb and this is the same substrait but the rocks are half the size so I use this stuff for fine rooted plants.

It’s rocks. They’re pretty much all the same size. They darken nicely when wet. I know that because I washed them - I noticed they were very dirty.I’m using them in a concrete ashtray as a holder for my ball vape. It has been working well for about a month. If they’re good for firepits, they’re fine for my use, I say!

As described!Just wish these didn't cost so much or that they were sold in MUCH CHEAPER bulk. Always be sure to wash stuff like this B4 using for Anything. I would be amazed how much comes off after a good rinsing!Thx for reading.

I like this. I used it to aerate the soil and to avoid splashing. The turquoise stones are noticeable but not dominant. I bought it for the turquoise stones and realized if they dominated it would look strange and not natural/organic. Now I am just waiting for warm weather so the desert rose will bloom. I also first thought the bag was kind of small but a little goes a very long way, unless you are landscaping. It's more than enough for many potted plants.

Bought these for placing in the bottom of my terra cotta pot to replant my orchid cactus. The rocks seem porous which is what I was looking for to promote good drainage. So, I bought another bag. Works for what I need it to do.

I use these rocks all the time for planting. Lining the bottom of pots with these rocks is something I have done for years and these work particularly well. I haven't used these particular rocks as a cover in for the soil in with the plants but sure it will do nicely.
