About this item

  • Variety for All Tasks: Our 6 inch interface pads provide an additional cushioning layer that enhances the flexibility of your sanding discs. This allows for smoother gliding over surfaces, making them ideal for intricate and curved surfaces
  • Balanced Pressure Distribution: The 6 inch soft density sponge pad ensures even distribution of the machine's pressure across the surface, minimizing human error. This prevents uneven pressure application and helps achieve a smooth, uniform finish by absorbing and redistributing variations in movement
  • Secure Adhesion – Hook-and-loop interface pad design prevents slippage during high-speed polishing or sanding, reducing wasted time and materials
  • Long-Lasting: Constructed from high-quality EVA foam, our cushion buffing backing pads are durable and heat-resistant. This ensures consistent finishing and even wear, significantly extending the lifespan of the pads. Keeping spare pads on hand is recommended to avoid work interruptions
  • Easy to Replace & Store: Featuring a hook and loop design, our foam interface pads allow for rapid and efficient abrasive changes, facilitating the reuse of partially used sanding discs. The hook side attaches to sanding discs, while the loop side secures the sanding machine. Each package includes 5 packs of 6 inch 6 hole sanding interface pads

I intentionally bought these 6 inch pads for my 5 inch cordless sander. One of the things I sand often is cast iron pans. I'll redo them for friends or look for them at garage sales etc. These pads are my secret weapon. If you look at the picture I uploaded, you will see the magic. That's about 15 minutes of sanding with a 6 inch 40 grit disc on these 6 inch pads. Look at the corner and see how well this pad allows me to get to an otherwise unreachable part of the pan. The corners are also one of the most important parts of the pan.The pad also allows me to do a great job on the bottom of the pan, leveling out high spots quickly. If you compare the floor of the pan to the sidewalls you'll see even stopping at 40(!) grit would be a dramatic improvement over a stock pan.If you've got similar corners that are impossible to access, you should try these 6 inch pads on a 5 inch sander. The holes don't line up and they are slightly tricky to center, but they get in those corners.

I love the hook and loop faster on this soft sanding pad. It fits snuggly on my sander and provides some nice cushioning when sanding rounded surfaces. So far, so good.

Not ideal if you want a flat sand, but WONDERFUL if you are sanding curvy surfaces! The cushioning on these is excellent. You can actually feel it give. But the sandpaper stays on and sands away. It seems like one of those things that would be a great idea in concept, but then doesn't work all that well, but it's not - it works great. It's easy to slap right onto your existing hook and loop setup and I haven't worn through the first one yet. Super happy I ordered these. They're my go-to now for curvy surfaces (along with my DA).

These seem to be nice quality foam interface pads. I got these for my newest 6-in random orbit sander as I always keep these thicker foam type and the thin ones on hand for all my sanders. I found using some kind of interface pad always makes the main sanders pad last so much longer. They seem to protect the main pads Velcro and edges to some extent and greatly extend their life.Thicker foam pads are great anytime you're sanding lots of curves and radiuses. The thinner ones are good for big open flat areas where as these, instead of being rigid and flat, have give to them and contour around the curves and bends which nicely sands them without changing the shape. Also these in particular, with lots of dust collection holes work perfect with the mesh sanding disc to collect a lot more dust and much faster. If you haven't tried these I would greatly recommend giving them a shot. When using a dust collector, these along with a multihole main sanding pad and mesh sanding disc (as opposed to the old paper sand disc) do a much better job giving a better finish. They collect more dust which makes for a nicer finish... and it get it done much faster. Good stuff.. give them a shot.

I am looking forward to using these pads on my next project. Admittedly, I made a mistake of not noticing the 6” size of these interface pads when I have a 5” sander. Nevertheless, I stuck one on just to see if it would adhere tightly to the sander and to a sanding disk and it has a great grip that doesn’t budge and they are built/made to last. Even though the holes of my 5” sander don’t line up with the holes on the 6” interface pads, I still have every intention of using them as the adherence and cushioning of these pads make me very confident they will still work great on rounded edges of my furniture projects, plus, dust isn’t an issue for me as I do all my sanding outdoors. I only wish I had found these years ago so I could have saved my arms from all the extra effort and time of using a sanding sponge on all the rounded edges of my woodworking projects.

These are well-constructed pads that can be used with sand paper or other hook and loop pads for extra cushioning. The multiple holes help keep the working surface from overheating. If you use sand paper with matching holes, this further keeps debris from building up on the sanding surface. If using solid sand paper discs, the additional holes help disapate heat from friction. These can be used for sanding or polishing. Use it as additional cushioning between the backing pad and any buffing pad with hook and loop attachment.

I sand a LOT. I mean a lot. I have 4 detail sanders and use them almost every day. I love the hook and loop pads they really make the base hook and loop on the sanders last so much longer. These prevent it from getting damaged etc. I like to attach 60 through 400 to them and write the grit on the back with a sharpie. Really easy to swap around the grit I need and slap it on the sander I’m using! These ones have lots of holes to match up with pretty much all manufacturers pattern of dust holes too!
