These plasma electrodes look almost identical to the OEM HyperTherm electrodes I have been using. The only noticeable difference, if you look very closely, is the silver deposit in the tip is just a tiny bit larger than the OEM electrodes. This doesn’t seem to make a difference in performance. At the time of my order, these cost $3 each (the pack of five was $15), that is about what a single OEM electrode costs at our local welding supply store, which makes these a good deal.I can’t’ yet speak to longevity as I haven’t needed to cut enough material to compare the life of these to OEM electrodes. Of course, there are a lot of factors that affect electrode life including power output, how many start/stops and puncture starts and the type and thickness of the material you are cutting, making a direct comparison difficult unless used on a CNC machine. So far, so good. If I experience any issues I will update this review.

The toughest thing it figuring out which size fits your torch. But these cost a fraction of OEM Hydrotherm consumables, work just as well and seem to last just as long--so they're well worth the effort. If you're a Hydrotherm user I highly recommend you check these out.
