FAQ's:

  • What is the difference between the red o-rings and the teal o-rings in this kit? Only one of them fits my keg and the other is too large/small.
    • Captain O-Ring's Cornelius Keg Rebuild kit is universal and fits both pin lock style and ball lock style kegs. For a pin lock keg, you'd use the slightly larger red o-rings on your keg's posts. For a ball lock keg, you'd use the slightly smaller teal o-rings. All of the remaining o-rings are the same between these two style kegs (large lid closure o-ring and smaller dip tube o-rings), so the only two that differ are the red pin lock o-rings and the teal ball lock o-rings.
  • Can I use sanitizing solution on these o-rings?
    • Yes. These Buna-N o-rings are compatible with all of your standard sanitizing solutions that you'd normally use with your kegging equipment. They will not break down like some other o-ring materials.
  • What is the best use for the plastic pick tool included?
    • The plastic pick tool is useful for two areas on your keg to prevent scratching any of your components. The first is for removal of the post o-rings. Use your fingers to pinch the o-ring toward one side and grab the o-ring with the hook end of the pick to pull it off of the post. The pick is also good for removing your dip tube o-rings without scratching the dip tubes. Either end of the pick should be able to dig under the dip tube o-ring and slide it free from the dip tube without risk of scratching the tube.

Item was just as described and worked perfectly. Love that the kit had seals for both types of kegs so this will work regardless of if you have ball lock or pin lock kegs. Great value

I purchased this specifically because of the color coded rings. It was the easiest way to quickly determine which post is liquid and which is gas. But you read the screens that I didn't and you know already that the green O-rings are not meant for the liquid posts ... Green means it fits ball lock posts. And as you might have guessed, Red is not to identify the gas line, Red means it fits the pin post cornys. It was a great purchase. Everything fit and changed out very easily (after I finally broke down and read the screens). I would buy from them again and again.

I got this hoping I'd have small enough to rings for the steam nozzle on my espresso maker, the smallest o ring is not small enough, just an fyi.

Item came as described. Shipping was fast with accurate lead times. I always like to keep an extra few sets of o-rings and gaskets around for my kegs just in case. These appear to be high quality. The fact that they are color coded makes it easy to grab and go if I need to use one. Also including the o-ring pick was an awesome extra!

The O-ring pick is nowhere near as durable as one needs to remove old O-rings... Broke both ends when trying to remove old O-rings. How else are you going get them off? Unless you have one in your kit bag, you need to rely on what is being sold to you... otherwise, seek the O-rings themselves from another source.Seller offered and gave a discount for my purchase for the broken pick.

Good value for the O-Rings. If you are a brewer who used old school 5 gallon soda kegs to keep your beer, then this is a great set of back up rings for you. I had just purchased this initially for the larger rings which go around the opening, when I also happened to remove the CO2 connector and *that* gasket had broken too. With this set I just grabbed the right sized smaller ring and I was back in business in 2 minutes. I'd recommend just buying this set of 5, keep them stored in a good room temp spot and have them for those times when you are making beer and things just go a little sideways.

These replaces split o-rings on my corny kegs that were in storage for many years. The corny kegs I have are pin lock and I assume I need a special wrench to take them off allowing me to replace the inner seals. I cannot find such a wrench anywhere.
