This is definitely a heavy duty waterproof 50 amp generator inlet box. This is being installed as part of my transfer switch setup. I literally walked the aisles of the big box store near where I live and was surprised how much these cost in the store compared to what this unit is priced at. And I couldn't tell the difference and I bet you couldn't either. Once fully have it all installed and put it through some paces I will give an update on durability. But dealing with industrial electrical stuff for years I can tell you it looks built solid and definitely to code.

Very high quality generator inlet box. It is rated for outdoor and the ground is already wired to the box. Never install one of these without an interlock for the safety of lineworkers and those in your house. The terminals are strong screw down style that will not come loose. It will accommodate the large gauge wire needed to properly hook this into your house because there is plenty of room in the large box. It has holes on all sides and the back to fit whatever your application is and includes screws with anchors. When powered there is a little light that turns on. This was a great value when you consider just the cable to hook this up to a 50 amp generator is probably going to cost 2x as much.

I needed a 50A receptacle box to use with a generator to allow us to power a rent house during outages. Their area is susceptible to storms, high winds, etc.After looking at various brands, I was able to order this one to try. At half the cost of the name brand starting with an "R", I was curious about build quality.After receiving and installing this, I can definitely say this is a beast. The box is made of strong steel and it looks and feels just like a premium brand. The 50A cable fits snug into socket and the indicator light is bright. I have no reservations about using this for emergency power. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a 50A receptacle.I hope you found my review helpful.

Worked perfect for my Tiny home input plug. This power box is made of very heavy metal, should last decades!
