It was initially expected not to show the charge level on the Pocket screen, but it works fine and does its intended purpose.

I have a couple more of these, and they are pretty much the same across the board. They are probably OEM just branded different. It works well as it give a bigger extra battery than the included 950mAh battery, but doesn't feel that it's actually 5000mAh. It's fine though as I don't care if it's 5000mAh or 4000mAh since it works well as an extra handle due to its size. It comes handy in different situations and it's helpful. It does run a bit warm though.
