I spent two days trying to make it work but it didn’t.The radio wasn’t recognized by the PC even after the driver installation. The radios didn’t pair either.

The radios would show solid green (good pairing) but they would not connect properly with Mission Planner. One of every twenty connection attempts work work, and then only for a few seconds. Tried 1)reflashing the radios, 2) updating windows drivers and 3) using APMPlanner and QGroundControl instead of Mission Planner. Nothing helped. Then I swapped out the long antenna on the PC radio for one that was about the same size as the drone radio antenna. Suddenly everything started working! Was going to rate this product at 1 star but switched it to 2 because it works now.Learned a lot about SiK radios while troubleshooting but I would have been happier if they worked right off the bat.

First one didn't pair with itself. second one didn't pair with itself. third one paired with itself, and is unrecognizable to the PC. This is not a radio telemetry kit. This is a week of headache before you just end up returning it anyway.

Works great for what it is. I've gotten several hundred meters with the provided antennas through the treetops. Direct line of sight I'd imagine at least half a km. At the listed 20dbm, should be plenty of room for directional antennas too.To use with Mission Planner and Windows 10, you need to download the silabs cp210x universal windows driver. Once that's installed, Mission Planner recognizes it just fine, and it connects without issue. Plugs in and works fine with the orange cube too (pixhawk 2.1)

Plugged in to macOS (Monterey) / QGroundControl setup and was instantly recognized. Yet to fly with it (plan on this weekend), but initial setup couldn't have been easier.Haven't gotten it working on an iPad yet - jury is still out.One star lost due to simple heat-shrink wrap around circuit boards rather than an actual hard plastic cases.

Had to download the drivers from the MFR website for win10. After that, they connected just fine. They work at 57.6k bps so a bit slower than a direct USB cable.

In APM planner, connected at 57600, reset to factory default, is running the latest firmware SiK 1.9 only connected the power to the air one, set my net-id, copied to air and works great!

Was surprisingly easy to setup. I took the remote unit out of the case, just so I could mount it very close to the arm. I was able to get it to work with both my laptop and my older android tablet without ant trouble. The antennas are actually 915 mhz antennas, not cheaper 2.4 ghz antenna like many sellers ship which don't work as well. Highly recommend.
