MTE-THOMSON's air charge temperature sensor informs to the ECU the exact temperature of the ingested air to be mixed with the fuel, since the electronic injection seeks the perfect combustion – that is, the stoichiometric mixture of those two elements. Located at many parts of the engine and connected electronically to the ECU, this highly accurate sensor is made with ceramics and uses the technology of the thermistor – a semiconductor sintered at more than 1400 oC, with silver connectors protected by a special brass alloy and precisely fitting electric contacts.

perfect fit.Will not work with one wire gauge.Bought three as some say they are all the same .No they are not.Saturn Air charge and temp gauge can be different.And sealer on the threads, If you base your review on You Not Having Sealer thats on you.No you do not need to drain the system.

I had trouble finding this part locally and thanks to the seller for selling on Amazon I was able to get it very quickly and reasonable. This was just what I needed for a 02 Saturn Sl1. I installed it as soon as I got it and I haven't had any issues.
