Review for: 40Pcs Garden Hoops for Raised Beds, 8 Sets of 7FT Greenhouse Hoops Grow Tunnel, Rust-Free Fiberglass Support Hoops Frame for Netting Shade Cloth Cover, DIY Plant Support Garden Stakes (8 Sets)These do the job. The small sections are kind of a pain to assemble and keep together. Some a tight, some are a little loose. Poles feel strong enough for light weight jobs. The clips are nice for holding row covers on the hoops. Overall, they work well enough. Now holding floating row cover to protect our seedlings from deer and birds.

Don’t waste your time. The metal shelves to hold pieces together are so loose, that the pieces fall apart easily. Not easy to use. They cut these fiberglass piece into 12 inch length . Putting three together they can be made into hoops to create a garden bed cover with a fine netting to keep cabbage moths. Also good for pepper to protect the pepper from getting worms by using the same very fine mesh without using chemicals. The only reason they are cut up into pieces is to save money as they are shipped from CHINA. The cost of shipping is based upon volume not weight. Putting the pieces together makes them difficult to use as the fall apart trying to set them up. Not good.

These garden hoops are not flexible, they did not fit into the connectors securely and they broke. They are not good like the first ones I purchased. I should have returned them.

Within days of installation, some fiberglass rods (approximately 20%) have broken at the point where they are joined together. Granted, this could be "user error", as I may have unintentionally placed too much stress on the rods for them to handle. Other rods placed in the same manner seem to be holding up well, thus far.For reference, the breaks occurred when spanning a 32-inch bed with 3 joined rods. So far, no breaks have occurred using 4 rods for approximately the same distance. I hope this is helpful to someone. Caveat emptor.

If you are in an area with not a lot of wind, this would be perfect for small in ground row gardening or raised bed.But for high wind, some fortification is needed. The fiberglass rods are surprisingly strong.I would highly recommend caulking or gluing the connector to the rods otherwise, they just slide out.I used an adhesive caulk because I figured I would have the benefit of sealing the connectors to prevent rust.I was able to get 6 rod length x 10 which gave me about a 4 foot arch.I was then able to attach the 10 arches every 4 feet out to barb wire fence stakes attached with hose clamps.I then attached 1x2 pine on the top of the arches to hold the rows together and put on a wire mesh roof for hail protection.I got my 16 x 25 foot garden covered well for $30! (not including fence stakes and chicken wire)But for raised bed with some of the insect mesh, this is a great starting point and I will definitely buy another set for my next garden.

Perfect for my small container gardens. It was easy to get set up, and I've decided to use shade fabric to start as we're already getting warmed up in the year and I'd like to keep the plants from getting too sunburned. In the wintertime, it will be easy to get plastic sheets on these.

It's a good set of components to assemble grow tunnels. The fiberglass rods have a gel coat finish, which is better than some with unfinished rods that I have. If you itch easily when you handle fiberglass this won't cause an issue. Everything was there to make eight large five segment tunnel frames, including netting stakes and clips. It's a good value at the price for the quality of the rods supplied.Trying to assemble them can be a bit frustrating because the steel connectors used to join the segments is too big. Unless you keep tension on each section as you add it the sections keep falling apart. It is fixable by squeezing the tubing to tighten up each joint as it's assembled. It should have come with slightly smaller diameter connectors. With the storms we get, I've learned that I have to tie the sections together at the top and and tie it off to a stake at each end or any grow tunnel turns into a sail with high winds. Paracord or bank line both work well for this.If the joiners were sized right it would have received a five star rating, but it lost one due to the connectors.
