My wife is an amateur artist. I’m a hobby woodworker, so I make the frames for her artwork. I used to string the hanging wire and just wrap it around itself. That’s obviously the mark of a novice framer, and in the past few years I’ve learned to use these crimping sleeves to achieve a neater looking framing job. I use locking pliers to crimp the sleeves and have been very pleased with how the sleeves work and look. These are pennies each to use, and they make installing the hanging wire faster and result in a more professional look.

Bikykose 50Pcs M5 Aluminum Crimping Loop SleeveThese cable crimps work well.I had an opportunity to test them only a few days after I received them, when my dog broke her yard cable. They functioned as expected, and helped me achieve a quick and effective repair.I can not really say they stand out from other brands in any noticeable fashion, but they perform their intended roll admirably;, I can think of no reason to avoid ordering these.3 starsExplaining my rating system:5 - a superior product - I would highly recommend4 - above average – a great choice3 - average – what one might generally expect2 - below average – I would advise seeking an alternative1- Horrible – a waste of your valuable money - avoid if at all possible

These crimping sleeves are used to crimp steel cable together. they are good quality and should last a very long time. You will need a proper crimping tool in order to use these. It’s a little cold right now outside to use any of these, if I have any problems, I will update my review.

100Pcs M2.5 Aluminum Crimping Loop Sleeves for 3/32 Inch Diameter Wire Rope and CablesI ordered this on February 12th, arrived on February 19th, via USPS, left in our mailbox, intact and undamaged.I prefer stainless steel but this is what was available, sizing is okay does fit the 3/32 cable but I have to remove the vinyl costing or won’t fit. I do not own a ferrule crimp tool but do own an anvil and framing hammer (crimp is not critical because is non load bearing), which works fine for me. I did try my crimping tool but these ferrules are too robust. I do however need to purchase a Swagin Tool (not cheap) or good cable cutter but in the mean time I am using a metal cutoff wheel on my Dremel Tool, cuts clean. Just needed to fabricate a Snare Pole because I’m having to deal with a feral wild hog problem. The finish is typical aluminum ferrules, nothing spectacular, no burrs or sharp edges, works fine. The suggested MSRP is very reasonable, I in fact had purchased two (2) individual 3/32 ferrules from the big box store, cost me $2.99+ tax, so I am not complaining about $6.99. I have no complaints, works fine, have lots extra for other projects, am giving it a 5 Star rating.

These crimping sleeves are for crimping loops on 2.5mm (~3/32”) steel cable. This is the size cable used on many light weight steel garage doors. Of course, a dedicated crimping tool is needed for that. The sleeves are well made, fit my crimper properly, and yielded strong crimped fittings. A note of caution: some people will attempt to crimp this type of sleeve with a pair of pliers...that may be okay for some uses, but for any “safety critical” use, a proper crimping tool is called for.
