I have a portable AC that connects to the bedroom window. The problem is that the window is right next to the bed, and the AC noise is a bit loud for sleeping. This connector lets me add another hose and move the AC farther away from the bed. It's simple to set up. You simply twist the hose ends onto the connector. This is a simple device that works great.

This is a simple basic PVC coupler to tie two standard 5.9" portable A/C vent tubes together. It is designed to allow either clockwise or counter clockwise wound hoses to be used. You just screw the end of each hose into this couple to attach them together, but this does require a bit of elbow grease to accomplish. Make sure the very start of the hose end is "shrunk down" by twisting it tighter as much as possible before starting, and spraying the inside of the coupler with some pure silicone lubricant spray helps a lot. A friend with extra hands comes in handy as well. I strongly recommend covering this entire run with an insulating hose cover for it's entire length, which may require two hose covers, but the energy saved by reducing the heat from the hoses radiating into the room is more than worth the cost of the covers. This coupler works very well, is a good price, and I can recommend it.

This Airwhirl portable AC exhaust hose connector has a practical universal thread design, it allows you to rotate it clockwise or counterclockwise to connect. We used it to connect and extend our original hose that came with our portable AC unit. It wasnt long enough so we added an extra hose, It was somewhat easy to connect the hoses together. But have to admit that it was definitely easier when someone was holding the other hose end. This portable hose coupler will work with any 5.9 inch air conditioner exhaust hose.It is well made. No leaking at all. I had to put a DIY insulation on the hose due to heat but it definitely wasnt leaking at the coupling. Highly recommend if you want to extend your hose.

We had a bad install on our mini split system and it basically doesn’t work anymore.… Definitely not enough for a hot, Texas summer.To get through the next few months while we decide how to proceed with the mini splits, we’ve got a couple of portable air conditioners. I don’t love the way the exhaust looks poking out the window and wanted to use one that didn’t face the front door. Unfortunately, the one I wanted to use was not close to where the AC unit sat. I was happy to find this joiner to connect the existing hose with another one. It works great!In addition to providing a tight connection, I would say the best feature is that you can use it with a left- or right-screwing hose.While I don’t love having an AC unit taking up space in my little living room, this connector at least keeps it out of the way.If you need to extend the exhaust hose of a portable air conditioner, I highly recommend this one.

I need this copler to extend my portable air conditioner hose to a more convenient window.It is made of thick plastic and has the groves on each end to help secure the hoses.Unfortunately it is very difficult to properly secure the hoses into the copler. It took a lot of muscle and time. I have it taped at both ends to prevent leaking of hot air since I had to force the hoses into copler.It works
