These pants are great. Pocket layout is good, rear pockets are a like weird and definitely not the standard Stryke pants. In fact, these pants have very little in common other than maybe some of the materials from the commercially available Stryke pants. They are fitted in the waist and do not have any sort of elastic. I didn't know this when I ordered, I ordered my normal size and they are a bit small. Additionally, the pockets on bottom of the legs are very close to the Hem. Otherwise they seem like great pants.

I volunteer as an EMT and have a hard time finding pants as a plus size woman. These pants fit very comfortable I don’t even have to wear a belt with these. Pockets are great as well and they are actually flattering

It’s difficult for me to rate these… the quality seems to be good, but I cannot really give them an honest test and review because the 34 fits like a 32, which means I require a 36, unlike all my jeans and work pants.I don’t even think I can exchange as I don’t see 36 available through the merchant, and they we’re internationally shipped.Pretty annoying.

I bought these for my son's EMS School training uniform. He is 5'10", 150-155 pounds and has a 30" waist. The 30/32 fits him perfectly. The pants have all of the required pockets, loops, etc. Following the instructions to wash inside out and tumble dry on low, we have kept these pants looking brand new. There has been no shrinking or fading, and I highly recommend these to anyone who needs them for work in EMS. Additionally, although they are work pants, my son will occasionally wear them as everyday pants because they are comfortable and the shade of navy blue is dark and rich, giving them a really sleek appearance in comparison to some other work pants he has used before these.

I have used 34W Tru-Spec Tactical Pants and EMS pants, and while durable they just aren't cut to fit people with large legs. Even if you size up you won't be able to raise your knees or squat down. I then bought the Tru-Spec Pro Flex (direct competitor to the 5.11 Stryke) as it boasts more stretch, but even sizing up to 36W I still felt very restricted in my movements. The 36W 5.11 Stryke gives me the range of motion I need.I haven't put any hours in the 5.11 Stryke or the Tru-Spec Pro Flex but their durability felt similar, with the Stryke feeling slightly superior.I prefer the slider style waist band from Tru-Spec as it gave all the extra give you'd need at the waist without sacrificing a proper fit but the Stryke waist does the job. I won't comment on pocket configuration differences across brands/models since these pants are my only option. If you can fit in the Pro Flex, buy those. Big legs = spend more and buy these.

I am normally a Tru Spec pants person and when I saw they had EMS pants I jumped on it only to be greatly disappointed unfortunately. These 5.11 EMS pants are the best I have ever utilized, and are well worth the price. You can find cheaper pants but you get what you pay for

The waist might not stretch as much but it does everywhere else i can do the splits in these things and they still feel comfortable. Got rid of all the other ems pants i own and just use these for now on and i don't regret it.

These have the high quality I’ve come to expect from 5.11. The color does fade after awhile, but that’s just what happens to clothes, and probably isn’t really 5.11's fault. Even when they get so old that fading is unite noticeable, the pants are still as intact as they were when new. I would like to see some additional pockets, though. I’d like to see one at the outer calf of each leg, like what their EMS pants have. I’d also like to see an open-top slot between the cargo pockets and the legs, so that something could be easily slid in without needing to open flap. Finally, the open slots on the front of each leg, high up near the waist line, are getting a bit small for modern cell phones, which are getting bigger and bigger. I don’t know what other people use them for, but I slide my iPhone XS Max into one of them and it’s an extremely tight fit. If my next cell phone get is bigger, it won’t fit.
