The set screw passes through a threaded hole in the outer object and is tightened against the inner object to prevent it from moving relative to the outer object. It exerts compressional or clamping force through the bottom tip that projects through the hole. The Cup Point has a special cup section supplied on the end of the threaded member having a depression in the end to reduce the area in contact with the surface which increases its holding and locking power under pressure.

used these to fill two empty holes on my buddy’s guitar im fixing up for him. replaced the tail end with a vibrola system. he’s gonna have a wammy bar on his flying v 1967 reissue. he better be having tears roll down his face when i surprise him with this bad boi. He’s left handed too, just looking at the guitar made my brain hurt. All things aside he is an amazing person and im very happy and excited to return his beauty to him. Thank you for being a part of this project, i was happy to have not waited weeks to get these. this is exactly what i had in mind and im grateful for not having to compromise my original idea for the guitar.
