This is a set of different shapes you can add to the common machinist's dial indicator. You need to also buy a magnetic base or some kind of base for the dial, then you can take very accurate measurements to ensure that planer beds are level and true, that saw blades are parallel to miter slots, to test runout of a drill press, etc. It is a simple set of tools but it allows you to measure to the thousandths.These are not complicated so you can't go wrong with this set. If you can, double-check the threads on your dial indicator just to be sure (or just take a chance on these--it fit mine fine). There are many uses for the various points depending on the situation. You won't regret having these on hand, though you may not use them very often after everything is set up. Kind of a fun secret tool powerup--I would recommend these.

It works but it doesn't looks like the picture because in the picture looks like golden and i thought are made with better quality material but the tips are silver like the cheaper ones I didn't return them because I need it.

I bought this set of points mostly for the 60 degree tip but it is a really nice set and I would highly recommend them.

the plateing on these is a little rough around the edges but its smooth on the active faces and they screw in straight, you'll be glad to have these
