I would say for coffee distributor, this is the best bang for your bucks. Very simple, not bulky compared to some of the other fancier distributors and more importantly, it's just right amount of weight in your which means, you are less likely to drop it, esp for a clumsy person like me. Also, from my experience, for medium roast to dark roast. Once you dial in your grinder for the roast and the right height for the distributor, you don't have really need to tamp. After a few spin, it's ready for a shot.

I got this distributor to get an even tamp for my espresso shots. I was able to adjust the height as I needed easily and it flattened my grounds great (: I did end up returning it because I had to return a faulty espresso machine & it wouldn’t fit my new machine. If they have other sizes I will be ordering from the same company for my new machine (:

This is wonderful! After I use the tool to break up clumps, I use this and then my tamper. It works well and makes the coffee taste better.
