The exhaust will melt the polyurethane if it touches for long enough. If the rear shock touches the airboot, it will rub a hole in the boot. Some air boots may require modifications to the face of the boot where it mounts. You can use a belt sander or dre-mel tool. Some mono shock models may require some light modifications.

Pruchased one of these for my 1983 Atc 250r project , Its about 1/2 " to short and the OEM Metal bracket is longer then the supplied slots on the slider . Top slot is in the correct spot , the bottom slot is not low enough .

Don’t waste your time or money buying. This item is not a proper fitment for the 83/84 ATC250R swingarm.
