The product exceeded expectations. The high-quality vinyl casing is durable and keeps the cable clean. Surprisingly, the included cutting tool is also well-made and not a disposable item. Overall, it's a well-crafted and reliable product.

1/8” Black T316 Stainless Steel Deck Cable Railing Kit came with the right-sized cutter for which I am grateful since, by design, these cables are not easy to cut. I tossed the gloves they included and used my leather work gloves instead. This cable is strong and the black color looks sleek on the different applications. First, I installed some tool-free cable connectors to our wooden columns on our back patio and used this deck cable to create the 5 rails between each set of columns. It looks really sharp and I avoided framing it in while still creating a barrier to keep the patio furniture from becoming a dog bed.Second I have shade sails that had been installed with paracord but I wasn’t happy with that, so we reinstalled those with this cable railing. No problem using this with the ratchet system we have installed for tension adjustments.Good stuff!

Glad this came with a cutter, which is always a hang up when working with cable... what cutter to use? The one included, of course! Easy peasy! We're using this cable to create a custom-made porch railing. The cabin has two wooden posts (plus a metal handrail to the side) and we bought two metal 'middle' posts that match the handrail. We can string this cable through the handrail, posts, and the middle posts, and the result is a lovely fence-like decor that also keeps you from falling off the porch. Heh. No one wants to fall off the porch, trust me, the view is best from ON it.

I got this to put a cable fence around my garden. This was exactly what I needed. The cable is very strong and high quality. It even comes with a cutter for the cable. The price on this cable is right on target. It can be used in many different ways. It comes in many silver and black. I come the black for the style look. It is a well worth trying it out and much cheaper than big box stores.

This steel cable looks really cool with its black color. It feels nice to the touch and even at 350 feet it isn't too hard to lug around the spool. They also include a pretty durable cutting tool, it's not a cheap throwaway.I got this cable because I'm planning a railing system at my house, and I had already gotten a spool of silver cable and was going to play around with alternating colors or some sort of unique design. The mistake I made was not paying attention to the thickness... The silver cable I have is 3/8ths inch and this cable is 1/8th. It may still work for what I was intending, but if not, I'm SURE I'll find other uses for it. Online I got some ideas, such as a floating shelf system inside my house, a method of hanging a light over my office desk, or even a clothesline, not to mention many other artsy types of things I've thought of. My brother, who is an artist, thought he could use it as a hanging wire for some of his bigger hand-made frames he uses for his oil paintings. The cable is good looking and smooth to the touch, they include a durable cutting tool, and the price seems fair at about $90 for 350 feet, so I gave it 5 Stars.

I didn't want railings that went around my deck that cut off my view of the yard, but I also didn't want an unsafe deck. That's where this wire came in handy! The black wire makes a huge difference, in the way that next to a silver wire, this looks almost invisible! Keep in mind, this is not the only thing you need to make a wired guard rail. You need the rails, the tops, the cable crimper, and a few other things, but this wire itself is a good start, and you'll be well on your way to a safer, but still beautiful deck!
