I was so happy when I came across this item as I thought it would help out with getting pet hair out of the carpet, as we have 2 cats. The rake was easy to put together. When it says "adjustable", it's not actually adjustable. It's more along the lines of "just don't put all the handles on". It came with so many handles I had to not put 1 or 2 on as it would have just been way too tall for me.We have a somewhat shaggy carpet and using the rake, it took a little bit of effort to use. Yes, it did get out some pet hair, but I don't know if all the effort was worth what little we got out. I'm not sure if the issue is our carpet or the rake, but it just feels like with all I have tried with it, it's a lot of effort or little reward.

I tried this rake on both a low pile and a medium pile rug with honestly no improvement. It barely brought up any hair, even after pretty vigorously rubbing over some visible animal hair. I think that those that have gotten good effect of this have had to apply a great deal of pressure in order to get anything up, but I was unsuccessful.

This product is not worth the money; it's easier and less cumbersome to just use a broom or vacuum. I really wanted this tool to work, especially since I have two dogs that shed a lot. I thought it would be ideal for small areas. However, when I tried it on a low-pile carpet, very little fur was picked up. I had to press down hard to get the little bit you see in the picture. I then tested it on a medium-pile carpet, and again, it didn't pick up much of anything. I even took it outside to use in the trunk of my car, but the results were just as disappointing.I gave it 2 stars because if you press down really hard it does actually pick up fur, but this tool is not easy to use.

Works great for getting the hair out of rugs. First pic is with the grain, second is spot just against it. Tested out on about a 1x2ft area. The "adjustable" part is removing or installing a piece of handle. The hand grips are awkwardly placed and don't sit where you would grab the handle. Comes with an extra squeegy piece so make sure you look in the box.

Gets hair up for sure, i use the brush part of it not the jagged part only for really tough parts. Im 6'6 270 and even after 15 minutes this has my arms about dead it def is a process, but i cant imagine anything that gets it out better. if you can put in the work itll get the hair up i have a black lab on tan carpet so it does its job but i cant imagine my grandma doing this if that helps.

I have a chocolate lab and foster dogs in and out. After some time my bed cover is marked with their fur... This thing does get the hair together quite well. It would be a dream if it would pick it up too, but it's still a help that it gathers the fur and then you just need to pull it off.
