Parts that came with it for extension don't fit each other, the curved pointed pick will puncture item you're trying to grab if it's heavy, the other mtal piece not able to grab the handle of a suitcase so you have to grab and pull it from the back of the case. Looks like it is really designed and made, probably came from China. Would not buy again.

I purchased the cargo grabber so I wouldn't have to climb into the back of my truck to retrieve items. The grabber works great. I even use it to pull down overhead extension cords.

This retrieval hook is incredibly handy if you have a large pick up truck bed. The pole can extend to reach the very back of your bed saving you having to keep climbing into the back to get something. This pole has a screw in hook, but be very careful with it, because it is very sharp, see attached photos. The pole hook is neatly made, the center section is made of plastic, this part I am not sure how well it will hold up to being used a lot, only time will tell. This retrieval hook also comes with a wider flatter hook you can also use. I am very pleased to have gotten this hook, it is saving me time and saving my knees from constantly having to climb into the back of the truck to get something. If you have a large pickup bed you may want to get on of these hooks, it makes a real difference.

UPDATE: I'm not sure exactly how many pounds of pressure I applied, but something inside the top pole piece broke when I used the hook attachment to dislodge a handle I could not reach. I suspect it may have been around 25-50 pounds of pressure, which is not a lot. I still think the product is good for what it's intended to do, but it's not intended to move around particularly heavy items.I'm about 5'4" tall, which is not especially short but by no means tall. It is nearly impossible to reach items that shift in my truck's cargo bed while driving or loading/unloading when they move to the middle of the bed and halfway between the tailgate and the cab. Getting in and out of the truck bed is doable but takes more time and, depending on the circumstances, can be a challenge. I have only had this telescoping retrieval hook and cargo grabber for a few days, but it already has proved quite useful even for things not involving my truck. The hook has been very effective for reaching things on high shelves without having to use a stepladder and feels fairly sturdy, though I've not tested its load capacity. yet. For instance, my son had left behind some small wired speakers in the garage on a high shelf years ago that I planned to toss out. I was able to use the retrieval hook attachment to get underneath the attached cables and twist the hook (like a fork in spaghetti) to get the cables wrapped enough that I could use them to help lift the speakers in order to get them within my reach for removal. -- and all without a step ladder. The cargo grabber has been really helpful with moving/sliding boxes around. Keep in mind that the grabber is not a two-piece grip-type grabber, but more of an edge grabber. I have a feeling that, as long as the load capacity for the attachments can handle some heavy items, this tool will be a big time saver and utilized in many ways beyond just helping with items in the truck bed.

We have a 3/4 ton truck with a cap over the bed. I became my job to crawl inside and get things that were out of reach. I ordered this to save my self this job and it's been working out great. We don't use the sharp, pointy spear, just the bent, flat bar end and it works great. Hubby keeps this in the back of the truck, and it's been so useful and handy.
