The coil developed a break after one month of limited use. The mower began to stall after 15-20 minutes, I traced it down to the coil expanding with heat leading to wire separation.

I didn't get to test it. Although I searched the correct part number and found this coil, it is not compatible with my motor. Once I got it mounted on my motor I see that the spark wire and the kill wire are on opposite sides of the coil. This will not work for my motor. The OEM coil has both connections on the same side so that it can connect to the plug and the kill wire . I thought about adding an extension to my kill wire but then, why should I modify my motor to accommodate a part that was supposed to fit. I am sending it back and looking elsewhere for a part that will fit.
