I should start by saying this. I didnt use this for a pocket door but I'm sure it would do a good job for that application. I used it to hang exterior wood framed screen doors so they would slide beautifully open and close with virtually no effort. I really love the heavy duty construction and adjustability.

This was a great replacement for an aging sliding door that was loud and ran poorly in the track. It was simple to install, and I found that the rollers ran smoothly and were much quieter than the ones they replaced. The aluminum in the box track is probably twice as thick as the original. Although I didn’t need the full 8-foot length, it worked well and was a vast improvement.I wouldn’t hesitate to install it in another location if needed. Four stars for me—longevity is my only reservation.

The two slides are a bit difficult to attach to one another but once properly put together they fit well and the wheels slide without any issues at all.I don't think there is much you can screw up with the installation as it is pretty well designed and straight forward how things go together, even if you do not have instructions it is easy to put together.Do not forget to place the stops after you hang the doors or they will roll out of the end of the slides fairly fast. Secure the bottom of your doors with stops and not just the top. The slides are meant to attach to each other to extend the length of the raceway, they are not top and bottom, some do not realize this. Not a lot of instruction needed, is really obvious what goes where and how things fit together.

I don’t understand why all of these sliding door systems are so highly priced, but no doubt this system is smooth and robust. The look is sleek and the finish is smooth and deep with rollers that glide silently. I’ll be hanging bifold doors on this rail, but also wouldn’t hesitate to bury it in the wall for pocket doors. There is very little to know about installation other than making sure they’re level. Also, they arrived in a very protective set of packaging and upon unwrapping them were pristine. A good buy for an important functionality.

Up against another trim removal and hardware adjustment on our 30 year old bathroom pocket door, I took the opportunity to upgrade from a 2 wheel roller to this smooth and stable 3 wheel roller kit. The kit arrived well packed and organized, with clear instructions included. The track and rollers are sturdy and could easily handle a door several times the weight of ours. The only downside is the quality of the included screws: one screw head completely sheared off while driving it, and another stripped - without applying excessive torque to either one. So, provided you are very gentle with the screws or supply your own, I would say the BarnBase pocket door hardware kit is a solid choice for this somewhat challenging home improvement project.

We had pocket doors when I was a child and I always thought that they were the niftiest doors ever. As I began building my cabin, I decided that I wanted to use the space saving feature on my build. This set is a great place to start. I already had two really nice doors that were repurposed into pocket doors. The math to choose which size (or length of the track) is straightforward. Each door is 24” and they combine to create the need for a 48” opening. Then, as the doors disappear into the walls, I need another 24” for each door for each pocket. This equals a total of 8’. Which means that I need an 8’ track, plus a bit extra. In building the pocket door into a load bearing wall, there will need to be an 8’ header across the entire opening. I will center the track at the center of the door opening. This evenly divides the track into the correct amount for the seen doors and for a track for each door to ride on as it disappears into the wall. Also, as I learned on some closet doors recently installed, there is a need to check the floor for level so when done, there is an even reveal. While I have not yet finished building the wall, and the recesses/pockets, this is a straightforward build. The door set is high quality. All items, especially the rollers are well made and used heavy duty materials. It came well packaged and nothing was missing. It is durable enough that it should, with care, last decades. I cannot yet report how smoothly it will operate or how quietly it glides, but I can say that this is a great set and more than reasonably priced.

This barn door kit is one of the nicest I have ever seen. The channel is lightweight aluminum. The roller wheel assembly runs along the channel smoothly and quietly. I had a 42-inch opening to fill and this 7-foot kit is what I needed. It comes with all the normal hardware for a pocket door and it worked as expected. I will definitely be looking for this kit if I need another pocket door hardware kit in the future.
