I used these cleats on my canoe to secure anchor lines fore and aft when I'm fishing. I used wide washers on the back surface to ensure they are tight and do not move when used. I really like how they nest into the base when not in use and they look really good too! These are solidly built and should last a very long time.

So it looks nice and everything is great however, getting it to pop up can be a little bit of a challenge. It goes on easily however I’m keeping mine up as it was quite the task. It does allow small rope to slide and glide and wrap decently. For the price I think it should be a touch lower, but it’s OK.

These cleats are premium. I use them in my shop for my gambrel to easily knot my rope when hanging heavy objects on my pulley system lift. The cleats fold in and out, and also have a relief in order to get a finger to fold the cleat outwards. Awesome quality. I recommend

These stainless dock cleats are the real deal. At 5" they are on the small side but still suitable for securing smaller craft. The components are solid, nothing hollow and made to fold flat when not in use. Stainless lag screws are included for installing, which is the only weakness of this set. I replaced the hardware with stainless bolts, nuts and a backing plate for a mount stronger than the cleat itself. The cleats are priced accordingly for anything made of solid stainless steel. They are well polished and function as intended, I recommend purchasing.

This cleat Is very nice. I like the way you can fold it down or fold it up when in use. We're not using it Fold it down and it's out of the way when you need it Up and you can tie things off.. The stain the still is very good And it shows no where even in salt water. I recommend this product.

this 2-pack of metal boat cleats and hardware works equally well for tying in boats or much lighter duty purposes like my plans to use them to tie rope into a custom pulley system. anchors aweigh, as they say! 5 stars

These are nice. I like the flip-up, flip-down style, which will allow me to lower them when not in use (like when I'm actually fishing). They come with good, stainless steel hardware, and several options for affixing them to my boat. Pricey at $39 for two, but stainless is pricey stuff.
