Sumatra is the first country that we ever imported coffee from, so we have a special place in our hearts for coffee from this Indonesian island. Wet-Hulled processing is unique from other processes in that the coffee is first hulled of it's parchment (protective layer) while still wet, typically a coffee would be fully dried before this step. This lends to Sumatra’s famously earthy, peppery notes in the cup. We love the variety that a nice Sumatran green coffee can bring to a roasters lineup, so this is perfect for those home roasters looking to add some range to their green coffees. In this lot we get notes of baking spices, roasted tea, and brown sugar.
