I use these 5 mm booties to stay warm while snorkeling. When they are new they are very warm but the bottoms wear out too soon. This recent pair was used about 10 times and both heels have holes big enough to poke my finger through. I put these on and pull my short dive fins over them and walk into the water, usually over rocks. I wish they had tougher soles in the heel. May have to switch to a boot and try to find a short fin that accepts a boot.
