Pure copper, 50 amp 3.1 inch Heavy Duty Alligator Clips. Check or charge lithium batteries, flashlights,light fixtures. Spring loaded Truck, Car, bench electrical Battery Test Jumper Lead Probe. I'd buy again.

Received yesterday and installed 3 sets on 2 battery chargers and 1 DC to AC inverter, all of which had defective clamps due to age and corrosion. These should work great for years to come. Other 2 sets will be held for future use and or repair. Great products.

The metal part of the clamp seems like it'll do the job, but the plastic handle covers fit very loose and are super thin.

There are tons of paper thin Alligator clips out there that will bend easily and start corroding if left on a battery long term, but these actually appear really decent. Especially since they're in the same price range as other cheap alligator clips.They appear to actually be solid copper, or at the very least built much better than the folded sheet steel ones that even some battery charger manufacturers are putting on their products at the factory.If you had your factory battery charger clips rot away or get crushed somehow, buy these ones. I have some made in the USA alligator clips from Mueller and these much cheaper actually appear to be "comparable" in quality. I can't say how they will hold up over a decade of use compared to the Muellers, but they will certainly outlast most of the other crap out there.I recommend these 100%.

Seem to be well made, though look like brass not copper. Like others have said, it is a problem that they don't give you a way to crimp the wire to them, so you have to solder the wire to them, or drill a hole and use a screw. Even so, nice clips.

Odd color. Needed pure copper for acid bath. More yellow than copper.

Color: Brass generally has a bright yellow-golden hue, whereas copper is more reddish-brown. Composition: Since copper is an element, pure copper is the only ingredient in copper, although traces of other metals affect its purity. Brass is an alloy. Thus, it has traces of copper, tin, and zinc.Not a problem, because all electrical contacts are brass, critical connections are gold plated.Considered light duty. Clamp is made from stamped brass sheet metal, 0.020 inch thick. Clamp is non magnetic and pure brass. Filed a corner to verify. Not plated.0.020 inch is about 10 sheets of paper.

The clamps are in fact solid copper. They have a good strong spring. Conductors must be soldered to the clamp, no screw terminals but that's the way they should be.Great quality for the money. Better than expected
