Love these things. I never knew what I was missing until I tried one that a friend had. These really make short work of course grinding/removing stock. You may want to finish it up with a fine grit grinding stone if the surface matters. But it you are just trying to remove stock, these things really get the job done fast. This set has several shapes to choose from which is also nice. I do tend to use the same one (squared off cylinder) more than the others. But it is nice to have those when I come across something where their shape is helpful.Seriously, I went from owning none of these to a couple of sets now. I have a couple different locations where I tend to work. So I keep a set at each place. Not going to be without.

The most important thing to note is that these require a 1/4 in shank. They will not fit in a 1/8 shank. Most cutting tools or rotary tools offer both options. These were a lot thick then I expect which is a good thing. I did not have any issues with bending or breaking. Most people who have this issue push the bits too hard. The extra length is great when trying to reach a little tighter spaces. I often us a rotary tool when installing (or updating) holes in doors for the latch. Most bits are too short, but these were perfect.

Idk how long these will last just yet but they will definitely move some material in a hurry. They are quite aggressive, balanced well, no wobble or vibration. I've had big names be not as good. The plastic carrier was crap tho!!

The extra reach makes easier to get into the tight spots.Sharp and good quality.I have used them for many projects and they are still looking good and doing what I purchased them for.

I was concerned these would vibrate or chatter badly as I was trying to use them due to the length of the shaft but they work great! Sure, if you use too much pressure, it chatters a bit but it's plenty sharp to not need to press hard (you shouldn't with a 20k rpm device anyway). Amazin for getting into tight spaces!

Reviewing: 5Pcs Long Carbide Burr Set 1/4" Shank Total L 4.3" Die Grinder Bits Rotary Rasp Attachment Cut Port Grind Metal Cast Iron Steel Aluminum Cylinder Head Engine Intake Exhaust Manifold Tight AreaSo far, these burrs have held up well while shaping low carbon steel, even when removing fairly substantial areas. I always use a cutting lubricant on burrs (and most other metal cutting/shaping tools), and it extends their life expectancy exponentially.

This is a good quality set of carbide burrs. I am using them for porting aluminum and cast-iron cylinder heads, and they work just fine. I picked this set up due to the extra length and because it came in a set of five different shapes to allow me to cut different contours. If using on aluminum, you will need to spray the bits with a penetrating oil to keep the aluminum from sticking in the burrs. Unlike many other items of this nature, the instructions for use were included to prevent damage to the burrs and for safety. Comes in a handy plastic case for storage, but it's not the most durable, so will need to be careful with it.
