So I got these in order to use with some of my smaller microphones so they stay secure in my mic clips. As most people who record know might clips are not one size fits all, some are smaller, some are larger, some are real small some are real large. Certain cases these wrap around rubber sleeves can make up the difference and hold your microphone in place so it doesn't slip out. Now, I'm not exactly sure if that's what these are made for, but they work for that. One of these worked especially well on one of my large condenser likes, I used a regular wedge type mic clip to hold the mic in place in front of my bass drum, instead of using a shock mount. The problem was because the microphone is bigger than you would typically use for a mic clip, it would slide down a little bit in the mic clip. I wrapped one of these around the base of the microphone and then put the mic clip back on and this prevented it from slipping. These don't slip on, they actually have a slit in them and keep their shape so when you wrap it around the microphone it's not going anywhere. I recommend.
