The industrial panel mount RJ45 ethernet lan cable coupler is used to turn the standard CAT5/5e patch cord into the waterproof type for the ethernet connecting in the harsh industrial or outdoor environments. A gasket seal provides optimum protection from moisture and other contaminants with an IP67 rating. Using the standards based RJ45 connection system insures compatibility with existing hardware.

I have been using these to replace my RJ45 feed throughs without the short cable. I thought eliminating the inside connection would help cut down issues. As I examine feed throughs that have been in use for a year or more , I found corrosion on the contacts. I also found that the connectors do not all spring back after removing the connecting cable. These are both concerning because the cable is not making good contact and causing intermittent operation or unusual results. I don't recommend these feed through if they are located in weather conditions. I have not tested them under cover to see if they corrode. spraying the connector with contact cleaner helps but does not help release the spring action of the individual contact

I used the cable in combination with a Midland MXT275 GMRS radio to create a hidden equipment install. Which allows me to have the hand mic locked away in the glove box when not in use on a Toyota 4Runner.

We’re using these as connections for a programmable synchronized light show at our home. Connections are working great. We live in an area with hot days and cold days, lots of rain and snow. Haven’t had any issues.
