The AC adapter for my Ambient Weather Station failed after about 3-4 years of use. The weather station uses an odd sized jack that other replacement multi-jacks do not have. This one does and it works, the only question will be for how long.

This worked as a direct replacement for the original power supply for my Ambient Weather WS-2000 weather station. My original power supply was only putting out 3v out of 5v after 3 years. My display started to say “start” and that is as far as it got. I bought this power supply and it came with several adapters and one fit my display. Works perfectly.

I had the same experience as the reviewer before me - the $230 WS5000 console got stuck trying to restart after years of working well. Sadly, unlike that viewer, I paid the $230 for the new console and waited 3 weeks for it to arrive. Meanwhile, the review saying it was only this power unit was posted — too late to be helpful for me.When I got the new console, I plugged in the old power unit and, lo and behold, it got stuck starting up. I plugged the new power unit into the old console and it worked!!Lesson learned for you: try ordering just this piece before going for a new console unit.

So, in less than two years the console for my $300 Ambient Weather station died. Kept re-booting time after time after time. After looking at reviews from other users, thank you very much everyone, some mentioned it was the power adapter for the console. I took a chance and figured it was better than ordering a new console for $299. Lo and behold! It works great! Why Ambient Weather packages a piece of crap power supply is another question.

Worked perfectly as a replacement for the power adapter for my weather station. Solved the problem and saved me replacing the $200 weather station.

What I received had 3 different ends to choose from but none of them fit my WS2902. I cut off the end of the old power supply and soldered it to the new power supply. If your not prepared to swap ends maybe consider a different power supply.
