The wires are smaller than the original wires. Splicing this part in will cause a high amount of resistance, lead to heat, and may melt the connector.Buy from a different seller.

Not as advertised.Wire is advertised as 12 gage, but it's 18 gage at best. Bought item based on a 2005 Tacoma for the fan blower connection/harness.OEM wire feeding blower is 12 gage wire, which is goid for 20 amps. The item in question is way to small to carry the lode. Understanding that different coatings (TFFN etc.) around the copper wire can withstand heat better than coatings..But this doesn't come close.

Wire gauge is far different than your Toyota Tacoma’s existing wires. I have already had to re-crimp new connections because the smaller wire overheated. So much so that I had fairly thick smoke come through the AC vents and the wire insulation was melted.Basically, they need to produce this connector with the correct gauge wire.

Blower motor plug melted on my son's 2013 Tacoma. The original plug was still on the truck and had worn out over time causing it to become loose and burn out. Ordered this part, came a day early, fit snug with proper gauged wire and two heat shrink butt connectors. The wires aren't the same color as the original so make sure you test before crimping. So far so good, no hot wires.
