These are long lasting. Started using these as opposed to a 4 1/2 inch. Wheel. They perform excellent have used several. None have shattered. Definitely worth the money. Will probably use these for the foreseeable future.

I bought these to cut bolts off an antique tractor in a hard to reach spot. They did great.I won't lie I spent a lot of time worried small pieces would break off and fly at me with malice in their hearts and a taste for blood. But even with my limited knowledge of how grinders work I managed to keep all body parts attached.

It took a while to get out and give this blade a try this time of year. I’ve included pictures of what was cut, and the tool used (with a Pegatec blade on it). Sorry - upload cut off much of this picture (??)We started out with the original blade included with the grinder (Metabo) – a good choice for comparison of the life of each brand of blade. We found that the Pegatec blade lasted WAAYYY longer than the OEM blade. In case you can’t read the label on the metal we cut, it is 1/8” x 2” weld steel – angle.Based on this test, I would consider this a fast cutting and long life blade. According to the brochure included in the box, Pegatec sells four levels of their blades, and this is the most economical. Highly recommend!!
