Had bought this to replace my ignition since mine was all corroded and only worked half the time with any key. Well bought one and it didn't work(it would turn accessory power on but would not engage starter) sent it back and got another and same thing. So I took it apart and switched out the little disc with the pins inside with my old one and now it somewhat works

First appearance switches looked identical but the retaining tab was a bit shorter on new switch making installing/ uninstalling quite a challenge. After installing new switch & several hours of checking relays, solenoids, safety switches & fuses I pulled ignition switch back out to verify it was good and found my problem, Ignition switch was inoperable when received. I’ve returned this ignition switch back to Amazon & contacted a local dealer for an OEM replacement, true it cost more but it also works.

Wow, switching out the old to new one is very simple and it seems to be of good quality. Fit our Ranger perfect and fixed the problem.

After sitting for 6 years, no one really knew where the keys were, so I'm rather than spend $60 to get a new key made, I bought this and it came with two keys! It only took about 2 minutes to install it.
