The posts of some of my pins stick out of the back and have scratched me and I'm worried that they may tear up my backpack. Will work welton a oin board or banner but I wouldn't wear these.

These are well made pin keepers with a smooth ring with an accurately drilled and threaded set screw hole. The rings and the set screws are are packaged in groups of twelve each, along with a 1.5mm Allen wrench. They are easily assembled, as the threads on both components are well made. I don't believe that you can find a better pin keeper product.

We ride motorcycle and as members of a Harley Owners Group for over 30 years, we’ve collected a lot of pins. With conventional pin backcs, we’ve lost irreplaceable pins while riding. These pins hold fast! Yes, there are issues if your pins are too short/long. Long pins extend past the keeper and short ones may not reach the set screw, depending on the thickness of the garment. You can always employ a file to shorten pins that poke past. But overall, I absolutely love these keepers! They are on my riding vest and I have never lost a pin with these. Also use on the kids letter jackets, and again they never fail. I pass them out to all my friends..and then buy them again. Very cheap insurance!
